Hudson's Bay Co. fort on north side of North Saskatchewan river, about 114°16'W., and about 2&fract12; miles east of the confluence of Wabamun Creek (White Lake Creek). It was one of the early forts in this region being established in 1810 when both forts Augustus and Edmonton were abandoned and reestablished as White Mud Fort at White Mud Creek, where they remained until about 1818.
